From: UP Law Student Government Subject: [UP Law] Mobilization against ConAss Tomorrow To: up_law@yahoogroups.com Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2009, 11:45 PM
Good evening.
The Congress will be closing for recess by this week, yet instead of tackling urgent bills such as the CARP Extension with Reforms, precious time is wasted to discuss HR 1109 which would create a Constituent Assembly to amend the 1987 Constitution.
To protest against the passage of this patently unconstitutional law and the delay of the promulgation of more important bills, students from all over Metro Manila will congregate tomorrow at 1:00pm in front of the St. Peter's Church along Commonwealth Ave.
We are inviting all UP Law Students to join us tomorrow. We will meet in the lobby of Malcolm Hall and leave by 12:30pm. If you want to join, text James Donato (chairperson of the Public Affairs Committee of the LSG) at (0917)534-5373. Wear any UP Law apparel.
Rest assured that the UP LSG will not be remiss in its duties of handling registration concerns of all students.
Hope to see you tomorrow.
